Where are you located?
Dunn From Scratch is a home-based, VDACS certified and inspected bakery located in Lucketts, a town in Leesburg, VA, right off Route 15. You can also find our pastries in stock at local SideBar Coffee Shop.
do you deliver?
Delivery is only available for custom orders over $150 for an additional fee. All other orders are picked up on a scheduled time of day from our front porch.
What are your pick up hours?
Available pickup hours are:
Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM and
Saturday 8AM-Noon. We are closed Sundays – Tuesdays for pickup orders.
do you make theme or fondant cakes?
We use high-quality ingredients to create fresh, original, gourmet buttercream cakes. While fondant may be used to make small, decorative, accessories when needed, we do not specialize in fondant designs or theme cakes.
Do you make wedding cakes?
Yes! Dunn From Scratch is located in the heart of Loudoun’s wine country and some of the most beautiful wedding venues. We make wedding cakes of all sizes as well as custom dessert bars to fit your needs! Request a tasting pickup on this page.
do you accept credit cards?
We do not accept credit cards at the moment. Currently, our acceptable payment methods are e-check and Venmo (dunnfromscratch).
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are permitted up to 7 days before the order is due for a store credit. Any cancellations made with less than 7 days notice will forfeit the deposit. If rescheduling, notice is required upon cancelling in order to transfer the deposit at the discretion of the baker. Rescheduled orders may incur additional fees and are not guaranteed.
What’s your inclement weather policy?
In the case of inclement weather, the customer has until 9 AM the day before the order is due to request the option to reschedule. Rescheduling is not guaranteed.
Are you gluten free?
DFS is not an allergen friendly bakery. Customers are welcome to share allergy concerns upon ordering and we take every precaution to prevent cross contamination, but we do not make gluten free, dairy free or vegan desserts.
