The Cheesecake Collection
Our cheesecakes have become one of our most sought-after offerings — known throughout the community for bold, original flavors and the quality you can taste in every bite. After years of perfecting our recipe and technique, we’ve developed an original texture and flavor you simply won’t find anywhere else. Every cheesecake is made from scratch using only the finest ingredients and slow baked in a traditional water bath.

Wedding Inquiries
Every great celebration begins with a conversation. Our process is personal and begins where you feel most comfortable.
1) Share your special details with us, and we’ll be in touch with our starting prices and our call availability.
2) If you think we may be a good fit, we schedule a call to discuss the intimate details and get a more precise quote. That quote is then sent to you via our invoicing system and is valid for three days.
3) If you’d like to move forward, we require a 50% deposit and a signed contract to reserve your date. The remaining 50%, along with any order updates, will be due one month before your wedding date.
4) Most clients enjoy a tasting before they proceed with booking. If that sounds like you, let us know that you want to place your estimate on hold and then fill out a Tasting Inquiry Form. Reach back out when you’re ready to reinstate your quote.

Tasting Inquiries
Dunn From Scratch Bakery loves offering engaged couples the gourmet tasting experience they deserve with high quality ingredients and fresh flavors. We value your time and vision for your special day and are at your service!
Your tasting fee is $60 and includes (3) mini gourmet cakes. Tastings may be scheduled for pick up Thursdays or Fridays at our location in Leesburg. Your requested date is subject to availability.
We do not currently offer Dessert Bar tastings. Our Dessert Bar Menu has been thoughtfully developed using the same high-quality ingredients, techniques, and attention to detail that go into every Dunn From Scratch creation. You can order with confidence knowing that every dessert is made fresh for your event and held to the same standards as our custom cakes.

I specialize in timeless, elegant cakes and do not offer fondant-covered cakes, sculpted cakes, or licensed character/theme designs. Dunn From Scratch is a custom order home bakery — no storefront, no walk-ins, just made-to-order creations I craft with care.
After nearly a decade in Marketing & Communications, I walked away from the office in 2018 to build something more meaningful — a bakery rooted in intention, and a life centered on motherhood. My daughter Emerson is my greatest “from scratch” creation, and greatest source of inspiration.
I am entirely self-taught, and proud of it. Every recipe I make has been tested, refined, and made with only the best ingredients. Desserts are my love language and I am fluent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Dunn From Scratch is a home-based, VDACS certified and inspected bakery located in Lucketts, a town in Leesburg, VA, right off Route 15.
All custom orders are picked up by appointment at our Leesburg location, available Wednesday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.
Delivery, when available, is optional for custom orders over $150, for an additional fee.
We do not accept credit cards. Currently, our acceptable payment methods are e-check via invoice and Venmo (dunnfromscratch).
Cancellations are permitted up to 7 days before the order is due for a store credit. Any cancellations made with less than 7 days notice will forfeit the deposit. If rescheduling, notice is required upon cancelling in order to transfer the deposit at the discretion of the baker. Rescheduled orders may incur additional fees and are not guaranteed.
In the case of inclement weather, the customer has until 9 AM the day before the order is due to request the option to reschedule. Rescheduling is not guaranteed.
DFS is not an allergen friendly bakery. Customers are welcome to share allergy concerns upon ordering and we take every precaution to prevent cross contamination, but we do not make gluten free, dairy free or vegan desserts.
Dunn From Scratch will make every effort to remind you and contact you in regards to your upcoming order pickup and scheduled time. If you are running late or are unable to make your appointment, please contact us before close of business on the day of your pickup. If we do not hear from you, DFS reserves the right to either resell or donate your order.
